EDITORIAL POLICY
How we assess games.
The reasoning behind the recommendation.
Sources and scope
Product facts are checked against official store listings and developer announcements. Each review links to its product source. We cover the listed computer editions, distinguish base games from expansions and avoid quoting transient prices or player counts as permanent facts.
Desk-based and AI-assisted
Our editorial text is prepared through research with AI assistance. It is an assessment of documented design and features, not a report of personal playthroughs, performance measurements or laboratory tests.
What a score means
Scores out of five are this journal’s opinions. They consider the coherence of the design, scope for meaningful choices and significance of the compromises for the intended audience. They are not player averages. Scores of 4.5 and above indicate a particularly convincing fit for that audience; scores from 4.0 to below 4.5 indicate strong recommendations with more prominent limitations. The shortlist is deliberately selective.
Artwork and independence
Illustrations are original generated interpretations, not screenshots or evidence of in-game graphics. Game names and associated rights belong to their owners. Store links are not affiliate links. No paid placement is included in this edition.
